“KALINISAN, KALIGTASAN, KAISA NG BAYAN”

For the past fourteen years, I've lived in Ligas 3, Bacoor Cavite, I've observed how the barangay works and how people help each other. COVID19 caused havoc in our society, and one of my barangays was among those affected. In terms of public health and well-being, the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is now regarded as one of the greatest worldwide risks. Lots of changes happened and lots of rules had been given for us to follow. In the first month of the sudden virus, for safety protocol, my barangay had announce that the next remaining days people are not allowed to go out.
This massive announcement made people cause ruckus and panic buying which made a way to the news. After a boring days, staying on the house and do nothing but to entertain yourself, our barangay had announce that we can go out.

We can go out but wearing face mask is a must, it is also one of the safety protocol that our barangay given us. Personal protection equipment (PPE) and public health measures (COVID19 pandemic prevention) both call for the use of face masks. Their use, on the other hand, is intricately tied to social and cultural behaviors and has taken on a plethora of new meanings for individuals and groups alike. Another thing that our barangay propose for safety of every one is, social distancing. Reducing the amount of time people spend in close quarters is critical. You can achieve this by staying at home as much as possible and staying away from crowded public venues where it is difficult to maintain a safe distance between individuals. Limits on how many people can attend events and gatherings or enter restaurants and bars are common in many communities, including our barangay. Our schools have cut down on face-to-face interaction by implementing online learning programs. For the time being, our barangay likewise prohibited individuals from entering and exiting the area. Wearing a face mask and keeping at least six feet away from other people is now a necessity. The virus causes ruckus which causes every people on my barangay of less income and some of them lose their jobs. In light of the fact that the communities are already a subset of the poorest and most vulnerable areas in the Philippines, the economic impact of COVID-19 is particularly concerning
Following a large number of job and income losses, communities are at danger of further poverty increases. Our barangay officials, in a simplest way, made a move to help each one of people living in the  them to survive for a day. Bags of rice, can goods, noodles, coffee, etc. have given to each household for them to have a food eat for a day. Giving relief good to each people on my community is heartbreaking because you'll see how hard this pandemic for them. Some of people who are well off, also donates things, food they can give to people who can't afford it. Our barangay has supplied every family food practically every week for them to survive this era, and assisting each other is the finest method we can do to alleviate the load that each of us is suffering.
Fearing that the relief commodities donated to each family is not enough, our barangay established a community pantry; the concept is simple enough. People drop off whatever food they could offer — fresh vegetables, sweet potatoes, canned items, etc. — to a central area in the neighborhood and those who can't afford to buy their own merely have to line up to obtain what they need for free. This will help people in our barangay to sustain goods even for a day. Helping each other in midst of the pandemic is what we needed to survive. Our barangay health care center is always open for folks who are experiencing some of the virus's symptoms. They provided a secluded area where persons with mild symptoms, as well as people who come into contact with someone who has the virus, will stay for at least 15 days for self-quarantine. They did this to
ensure that no one in the barangay is harmed by the virus. An integrated approach to human health is needed in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.
Enhancing the environment's health through improving air quality, water sanitation, garbage collection, and biodiversity conservation will minimize the risk of pandemics and improve the general well-being and resilience of populations. Premature death, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, and developmental disorders can all be exacerbated by exposure to ambient and indoor air pollution. Pandemics can be prevented by ensuring that people have access to clean water and preserving biodiversity, as well as by ensuring that garbage is properly disposed of. People contract COVID-19 by inhaling droplets and other airborne particles contaminated with the virus. Even if you're a few feet away from someone who's inhaling these, you could still be at danger of exposure. If a person is sprayed or splashed in the eyes, nose or mouth with infected fluids, transmission can  occur.
Our barangay also devised a plan to minimize the spread of the virus by cleaning every part of the barangay, down to the tiniest nook and cranny. This will be a huge aid to all of us, which is why so many ka-barangay have signed on to the initiative. Our barangay had formed a group and allocated each member to a certain area to clean while still practicing social separation and wearing PPE. Our barangay experienced significant change from the commencement of COVID19. We are all fatigued and stressed about how to react to the events, but as time passes, we have adjusted a little and our barangay has made significant progress. You can still see our barangay cleaning and helping each other to this day. We clean, we stay safe, and we will all work together to put an end to it.
